Pinky & the Brain:
War & Peace
An interdisciplinary project where students analyzed how resources, geography, human nature, and political and economic systems impact international peace and security. In this simulation, a game called Trade War, students manage their country's resources through negotiations, alliances, trade, and war.
Essential Question
How does the geography, government, economy, and daily life of a country impact international peace and security?
What We Did
For the humanities portion of this project, we chose countries to research and write country profile papers on. Using mentor texts, we explored styles of expository writing and engaged in multiple processes of drafting, critique, and revision. We also designed infographics to enhance the playing experience of Trade War during our exhibition at Festival del Sol. Our work is available for viewing on the student-created High Tech Middle Chula Vista Model United Nations 2019 site.
